As the world’s predominant center for cricket, India’s influential cricketing board is blessed with a substantial share of income generated by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

In the month of June in 2022, an incredible deal was sealed for the telecast rights of IPL, which was purchased at an amazing amount of Rs 48,390 crore. The deal spans over a time period of five years.

For the fiscal year 2023-2024, the board had initially projected a revenue of Rs 7,476 crore. However, they were pleasantly surprised as the actual income soared to Rs 8,995 crore. Likewise, the general fund saw a remarkable growth, jumping from Rs 6,365 crore to a substantial Rs 7,988 crore.

The Cricket Control Board in India, BCCI, is estimated to score majorly in the fiscal year 2024-2025 – a whopping revenue of 10,054 crore. On the other hand, they also set aside an estimated 2,348 crore for their total planned outgoings in the same year.

The BCCI’s 38 state divisions heavily rely on the board’s yearly funding. The budget earmarked for these associations, as stated in the document, is capped at an impressive Rs 499 crore.
